Greg has over 20+ years of legal experience, including over 15 years spent in-house. He is a true general counsel, having advised internal clients on matters ranging from basic operational contracts to fundamental strategic transactions and high-stakes litigation.
Greg’s in-house experience includes lead roles in The Stronach Group, a family office and asset manager, and Anson Funds, a hedge fund manager, and transactional counsel for Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, a leading Canadian institutional investor. Prior to moving in-house, Greg was a partner at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP.
Greg has extensive experience across regulated industries, including Canadian and US securities regulation, and has managed operational and transactional matters across the globe. He has advised with respect to corporate commercial matters, corporate governance, structuring, regulatory approval processes, regulatory enforcement, and a wide range of litigation. He has managed relationships with dozens of external legal counsel, domestic and overseas, to ensure that his clients receive value for their legal spend.
