We acted as Canadian M&A counsel to Netherlands-based public company TKH Group N.V. in its acquisition of Ontario-based JCAI Inc., which provides visual guidance software and equipment to airports and airlines around the world.
We have acted on behalf of NYSE-listed Herc Rentals, one of the leading equipment rental suppliers in North America, in multiple acquisitions of Canadian companies beginning in 2021.
SkyLaw acts as Canadian corporate and securities counsel to US private equity firm GGP Funds on a variety of their equity and senior secured debt financings and related transactions involving Canadian-listed issuers and private companies. To date we have worked on over US$300 million in equity and debt investments by GGP.
SkyLaw has represented Solar Panda, a fast-growing solar energy provider with operations in Kenya, since its incorporation. As part of this mandate, we worked on the successful closing of its Series A funding round in which it raised US$8 million in a financing jointly led by impact investors Oikocredit and the EU-funded Electrification Financing Initiative (EDFI ElectriFI) as well as subsequent financings.
